vacation time whoo-ho!

we leave for a nice vacation today!
   .. and boy do i need it!
i know .. i know  you do too!

 i   WE are very excited ...

hopefully i will have pictures to post when we get back!

this year has gone by so fast..
so has this week!

it was a bitter sweet time...

Matthew headed back to Nashville
(we hate so see him go, but he was looking forward to his upcoming week with lots of exciting events, and looking to the Lord for guidance and direction)

and Jordyn headed back to Georgia.. he is still serving our great country, stationed a Robbins Air Force Base.

2011...

i had a goal to start the new year with some much needed changes.
 i have been looking for a new exercise program..
one that would keep my interest ..uhm

i went on-line searching and found a program that sounded like fun.
so i headed to the gym, ready to start this new year off on the right foot..
and ready for the challenge!
...they were CLOSED! (that wasn't mentioned on the website)

so i will try again next week..

one other challenge.. scripture memorization..

mmmm ...not very good with the ole' memory thing so i need your prayers!
myself along with countless other women are participating in the challenge of memorizing 24 Bible verses this year.
 (see LPM blog if you would like to participate, read Dec. 26 post as well as today's for more info)

i made my own little spiral to keep my verses in...

uhmmm

can you say LaZy?

today started out with a two hour delay ...
now i have to admit i love it ...

it's like sleeping in with pay
... and a short day, because the day goes so fast

i love my job ...but a person would be crazy not to like the snow day schedule.

so you would think when i got home i would be full of energy...
but i'm not
..i am just plain lazy..
 i am all curled up with my little netbook...
 my sweet little dog...
and a cup of hot apple cider

christmas/ snow/ family time!

ok.. time to post some of the fun happenings!

christmas eve...
christmas eve night is always at my side of the family so we went to my sisters...
had a great meal and then played ... Pictonaryman.. fun..fun..fun


christmas day...
we always get up early ...read the christmas story ...have gift time with each other and then to nana's for lunch.
...the best thing of the morning was dales surprise gift...

now before i go any further just let me tell you that i  forgot my camera each time we went somewhere..and i didnt get good pictures at home either..   Duh!

but i did get this one...i think it says it all!   he was one happy man!

and of course the snow

we love the snow, and were excited to see a "white christmas"

she is always styling ...even in the snow

this was also a first for karlie ...

me..matthew...and jordyn..working hard

we didn't get our snowman built.(we were too tired after all this shoveling)
...but the driveway is clear
so then it was time to eat.. watch movies.. and play games  :D

week of family fun

this has been a special week for our family...

wednesday...
 Matthew came in from Nashville... man!... it is so good to see him.
we always look forward to him coming home!

Jordyn drove in from Georgia...  we love as well.. and it is always good to see him too!

our family loves to play games, so after church they (i didn't make it) stayed up 'til early the next morning playing ROOK
.. i was awaken by screams at midnight as they played
...it was cool

we enjoy our "whole" family being together.
it isn't always possible that we are here at the same time, so we are EXCITED.


Happy Birthday Karlie!

then our little Karlie celebrated her first birthday
to say that we love her is an understatement.... she loves being loved on!
for her birthday she got a new outfit, a new bag of treats, as well as an editable birthday card.. from us ...plus gifts from others...
can you say spoiled?

thursday...
Jordyn grilled us fillets........ YUm..Yummm.. they were sooooooo good!
and again we ..(yes i did too) ...stayed up until midnight playing Rook.

and then today we start going to Christmas gatherings...
i love all this family time!

Christmas Bananagrams...

ok.. this morning we played

bananagrams using only "Christmas" words..
these were the "rules"... (there was only one.). ha!

#1.. use any word pertaining to Christmas

the one who finished first won a gift card to Bojangles (some of them love that place)...

... just let me say there was alot of thinkin'..
...and "new" Christmas words goin' on.. uhm
the winner was "very creative"
..Christmas is "fun"
    way to go Steven!

i'm into "fur"

remember when i mentioned that i redecorated?  well i am still working on it...

and have added some "fur'.. the black is fur, the off white is fur, the large "brownish" round pillow is fur, and the square pillow is fur..

i LOVE all types of 'fur'

...so much so that i added some to ktb's room too
