Thankful Thursday

today I am reminded of the "genuine" people that God has placed in my life.
for that I am truly "thankful"

Genuine means authentic, real and honest.
1.An example of genuine is an actual piece of leather, as opposed to a piece of plastic which is textured to look and feel like leather.


2.An example of genuine is a person who is always sincere.

I love being with  people who are genuine -
 people that are the same when you are in front of them...
   and more importantly WHEN YOUR NOT!

People who will not allow "trash" to be scatter'd in the form of gossip or such
{gossip = it is never done to build someone up
                it is taking dignity and honor and replacing it with "DIRT"

Genuine people will turn a deaf ear to such "DIRT" for they think more of themselves than to allow their ear to be a trash can... and they think more of the one being "trashed".

Genuine people are True
Genuine people are Honest

Genuine people uplift, encourage.

To be around them is so refreshing and uplifting.
People who are genuine have no need to impress others.

They are genuine... there is no reason  to be impressive


Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I have so much to be thankful for...
  but today I want to mention how thankful  I am for our... 
      'in- laws" / " FRIEND- IN-LAWS"

thankful thursday- i think?

well today was the day...
our sweet katiebeth and jordyn set out to their new home in Ga.
it was NOT a happy morning!
she and jordyn have stayed with us since they returned from their honeymoon, and quite honestly i was liking it.

then my wonderful son (who still lives in Nashville)

 called me just to say hey and to tell me that he loves me...

                         that made me happy- well kinda

he's not here either...

i said "what is up with you and your sister moving so far away from home?"
he sweetly says "you can come and see me, mom"...
                  uhmm ...
he's a 5 hour drive away too. it isn't like just going to the next town.
(sigh) - big sigh     
please pray for dale and i -  it is a change; and change isn't always easy
.... but we know that it is God's will, and we are soooooo very blessed.

moving on....
 i am thankful for the beautiful day!
        i love the sun!
            don't you?

 i took advantage of it and had lunch outside, and then this evening was gonna get a little excercise in, and go walking!

except the trees didn't want me out there.
    yep!
    they put me right back indoors.

allergies..gotta love 'em

oh- and get this... the last two weeks of shots... caused an allergic reaction
"what do you call it when your allergic to your allergy shots?"
   just weird i guess....
 new plans for next week, we will see how it goes

today i am thankful for ...

GENUINE people!

i do not do well with those who "play the part". most of the time i can spot those that are "fake" very quickly and...then i try to RUN! ..


i love the statement in Sheri Rose Shepherds book "His Princess"..

"the more real you become, the better you will relate to others..no more pretending"..



"for do i now presuade men, or God?or do i seek to please men? for if i yet pleased men, i should not be the servant of Christ"

Our Heavenly Father wants us to be real with Him.. therefore we should be real with others...everyday in everyway.
