wonderful beachy days...

well i didnt post anything the entire vacation, i had plans to...

just to busy with all the "rest and relaxation".

however i do have pictures.

little behind on any updates... :)

Finally we are getting ready to go on a much needed vacation.

i am very excited about being "beach bound"..

however i am not excited that matthew will not be able to join us, and that karlie will be staying with a friend.

matthew...is still following the Lord, having a blast while traveling around

( Virginia Pennsylvania and now in California)singing and learning management skills. he is planning on coming home in a couple of weeks.
providing his "sick car" is all better..

Please Lord, touch that thing..

karlie ... seams like another one of our children, she would love the beach and the water, but she wouldn't love the heat and the area does not allow pets. so she is going to stay on her regular schedule for the week.

Anyway...

we are still excited, and i will be trying to post some thru out the week.

one special "airman"

one thing that i haven't mentioned so far is this special guy.


he is our KatieBeth's boyfriend of 3 years.

this past July he completed his first year in the Air Force. i have to admit that when he told us that God had given him peace about going... i was some what uneasy. since none of my immediate family, and no close friends were in the military, i only could think of negative things that i had heard happened to others that chose that path.

such as... untrustworthy, arrogant, unfaithful to the Lord, etc. so i did what any "good" mother would do, and encouraged them to go their separate ways for a while...pray.. and see where the Lord leads them.

well... none of the above happened... and YES i was wrong..(imagine that).

he has remained faithful to the Lord,(which is the most important thing) he still has a sweet attitude (well except when playing cards or games... then his LOUD dad comes out in him..sorry Scottie ..NOT!) and he and KatieBeth are still together.

we have been blessed that the Lord placed him at a base not far from home,so he is able to come home quite often.

we love him, and we are so proud of him for following the Lord, while serving our country.
we love his wonderful family too... (yes even his dad, Scottie).. :)

He is a specialist in all the "things" we go thru.. or carry.. or worry about.. or maybe we dread.. and even "things" we are excited about...

those "things" that seem like mountains.. HE can build a tunnel thru them in a matter of seconds.

we celebrated at a local restaurant with Scottie, Michelle and Jordyn..







and then home for some fun and games!... well Michelle and I had fun as we LET the guys win at playing ROOK.. since it was Dale's birthday and to keep them from whining ... :)


Josie also came over so she and Karlie could have some fun together.. they are best friends.

the only thing missing was this wonderful son of ours.. he wasn't able to come home this weekend.. but we hope to see him very very soon.

today i am thankful for ...

GENUINE people!

i do not do well with those who "play the part". most of the time i can spot those that are "fake" very quickly and...then i try to RUN! ..

i have to say, so far i have written mainly about things that i really love, and that truly are "my favorite's". it will not always be that way.. altough today these are two more of "my favorites"...
