the nest

about a month or more ago
 we had a bird to build a nest in one of our "bird feeders"
                                - kinda odd i know

the feeder is at the door that we have trained karlie to go to when she needs to potty, so we have been able to watch the nest on a daily basis.

so one day when we noticed there were about five eggs in the nest.
 everyday we would watch for the little birds to hatch, and then watch them as they grew.

 last saturday i was very upset because  i realized i had not been seeing the   mother coming to feed the babies.
so we decided that we would
                dig for worms and feed them.
we dug at four different areas in the woods and could not find one single    
worm....
 so off we go to the marina to "buy" worms.

we get home and cut the worm up into "tiny" pieces [very gross] and tried to drop the worms into the little birds mouth- they knew that "dale" wasn't their mama, and they refused to open their mouths.
 i was so upset - i just knew they weren't gonna make it.

then as we were walking home from church on sunday - we saw the mama fly off the nest.. whewwwwwww!
   she is BACCKKK... i was so excited - i knew they would be fine now.
     i should know that- Our Heavenly Father takes care of all his creatures

     and today - they FLEW!
         so sweet
i have tried to take pictures of the process of it all.
     [well all except the worm thing]

    "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not,

neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
