another special weekend

fun times...

this weekend was bachelor/bachelorette party 
 
katiebeth's matron of honor took all the girls in the wedding party to a nice place in the mountains for an overnight stay..  the girls watched movies and had a special time together..

just enjoying good fellowship!

..well and eating good food!

... then deidre, michelle, emma, and i drove up the next day to meet up with them

the guys had a "man-ly day"

they went to the hunting club.. shot guns.. rode 4-wheelers...

then that night they meet up with more guys went out to eat and to the movies!

... i just pray that everything comes together like i have it planned

just a different week

it was that time of year when dale took our senior citizens to Gatlinburg for a few days.
while he was there we [well mostly scottie and michelle]  packed up alot of Ktb's "stuff" and placed in on  a big Pen*ke truck and sent it on its way to Ga.
although i am very excited for her, that truck backed in our drive was not a pretty sight.... (sigh)

anyway .. thank you scottie and michelle for all you do for our kids!

so that left me here all alone, well i had my little karlie, but all she did was "cry" she knew that something was different with 'sissy's' room and she paced back and forth and sat at her doorway and just cried.. and of course that made me cry.. it was sad :(

 i had to get myself together because i had so much that needed to get done...

 so i made good use of the time.
 i painted..redecorated.. cleaned.. and cleaned.. and cleaned..
(when i finish the redecorating, i will have some pictures to show you, i am pretty excited about it)

now it is time to clean again...
            whew.. never ending ...right girls!

another busy weekend coming up... God is so good!

"showers of blessings"

well katiebeth and jordy had their first shower on saturday!
can i just say i was AMAZED!
just look...

she got lots of items to cook with.. kinda funny "she knowth not how to cooketh"... and YES i have tried to teach what little i know.. but i really dont "measure" i kinda guess, and she don't do to well with that.
.. there will be interesting days ahead

although i dont have alot of pictures of the other decorations, the fellowship building was very pretty as well thanks michelle, deidre,yvonne, and liz

God is so good .. excited about the days ahead!

"special day"

...well i haven't got very far on the book ..

way to much going on right now for that.

first of all let me say a very special Happy 40th to my best friend! who has been in NYC trying to hide from any "fun stuff" for her birthday...

... better watch because the 'fun stuff" can come ..even if it is belated..LOL

This past week has been alot of planning, looking, drawings of how things are to look, and exploring for the "best" prices for different items, for Kt and Jt's wedding...

and even though we have along way to go...i am so thankful that we have gotten so much accomplished.

one"big"thing that we did was going DRESS shopping

whew...lots and lots to choose from..

KtB decided that she wanted to go out of town to try to find her dress...so we set out early in the morning and shopped ..and shopped.. weathered thru some really RUDE people at a popular bridal shop..got very aggravated left for another town....

we were glad we did because ... THERE it was.we finally found THE DRESS ..THE headpiece.. THE veil..and even some bridesmaid dresses
(i have pictures but can't post them.. sorry Jt :) )

The "consultants" there was extra sweet.

...these are bittersweet, but very special times.

the "special event"

...we knew this week was going to be a special one...
back in April of this year, KatieBeth's sweet boyfriend ask us for permission to marry, we were not surprised and since we know their focus is fixed on the Lord we said "yes".

our second morning at the beach he asked her if she wanted to go walking on the beach (7:45 am) .. we all knew what his plans were so as soon as they left the condo we all lined our chairs on the balcony so we could video and get some snapshots of the special moment.

we all are excited for them!
