today was another "salon day" for our little Karlie





... we love her so much!

missions... Bible Study... Surprise

saturday... i went on a one day mission trip with a group here at our church to West Virginia.
we all knew that God was gonna do some great things that day because we had trouble ...lots of trouble .



get this...



the box truck we had loaded with supplies ran out of gas.


the trailer had a major tire blow out


... we made it to the next exit ramp, and all the guys pitched in and fixed it









...is'nt this the perfect place for the repair"?









... a few more miles down the road, and another major blow out.










then we get back on the road again... and about 20 min. from our destination and the truck starts leaking transmission fluid.








"Liz trying to get a signal on the cell phone, so we could call for help, or at least let someone know where we were... but we were so "out of no where", there was no signal available...uhm"


BUT GOD... got us there, we were all safe, we had a wonderful service ,visited the community, handed out God's Word, clothes and food, and best of all we had 8 folks give their lives to the Lord!

WOW!... what a great time we has serving the Lord!


monday night we started a new Bible study ... excited to see what each week holds...if the first night was a sign of the things to come then we are in for a treat.


then today ... a very very sweet surprise..




my best friend deidre brought this beautiful plate to me today..

...man this looks good on my kitchen counter. :)

(she gave a smaller one like this away last night at Bible study as a door prize.. so glad that I "whined" and 'cried
" about not winning"...LOL)...love ya Deidre

...okay ....i guess it is very unusual to say that about your workplace, but for me it is true!

it may have something to do with all those that i work with.

i have the pleasure of not just being with co-workers.. but family.




we are a very close bunch here, and even though we all have our "days" we all love each other and there are none better to work with.

we hold devotions every morning together before we start our day, and take the time to remember those that come in and out our doors, as well as prayer for each other.

even though we know that our Heavenly Father is our ultimate protector, we also have some very special help thru-out the week that come in and provide alittle xtra security for us.. we love them too!

thank you Lord for the blessing of "loving my workplace"

"special day"

...well i haven't got very far on the book ..

way to much going on right now for that.

first of all let me say a very special Happy 40th to my best friend! who has been in NYC trying to hide from any "fun stuff" for her birthday...

... better watch because the 'fun stuff" can come ..even if it is belated..LOL

This past week has been alot of planning, looking, drawings of how things are to look, and exploring for the "best" prices for different items, for Kt and Jt's wedding...

and even though we have along way to go...i am so thankful that we have gotten so much accomplished.

one"big"thing that we did was going DRESS shopping

whew...lots and lots to choose from..

KtB decided that she wanted to go out of town to try to find her dress...so we set out early in the morning and shopped ..and shopped.. weathered thru some really RUDE people at a popular bridal shop..got very aggravated left for another town....

we were glad we did because ... THERE it was.we finally found THE DRESS ..THE headpiece.. THE veil..and even some bridesmaid dresses
(i have pictures but can't post them.. sorry Jt :) )

The "consultants" there was extra sweet.

i love the change of the seasons... all of them... and i know that 'fall" is here

not just because of the temperature change but...

this is Pumpkin Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory

i am not a huge cheesecake fan, but this is some really good stuff, and you can only get for a short period of time.

we don't have a Cheesecake Factory here at home but the Barnes and Noble carry it.

and that is another story in itself.. i rarely visit the Barnes and Noble..

not a big reader... that is not one of "my favorite things" but i went there to purchase this book.

this is my very first book that i have actually purchased myself.

it will probably take me FOREVER to read it.. but i am excited about it,

i have heard so many good things about it already...

we will see how it goes

the "special event"

...we knew this week was going to be a special one...
back in April of this year, KatieBeth's sweet boyfriend ask us for permission to marry, we were not surprised and since we know their focus is fixed on the Lord we said "yes".

our second morning at the beach he asked her if she wanted to go walking on the beach (7:45 am) .. we all knew what his plans were so as soon as they left the condo we all lined our chairs on the balcony so we could video and get some snapshots of the special moment.

we all are excited for them!

ok... a little longer than "tommorrow" how about day after tommorrow..LOL

after Scottie and Dale got the "tent" up... we all got ready for some fun in the sun...

"goofy"covering his head because he forgot his hat, and he is trying to protect his bald head.

the veiw of the sun setting over the ocean ...the perfect ending to our first sun filled day.

i love this place!
